What’s this all about?

My Art Desk

Hello internet people. Thanks for checking out my blog! I have come here to share my work and the stories behind them. Hopefully, in the process, you’ll drop me a line in the comments and I’ll get to know you a little more too.

I’ve had this blog for a while now. Since I was a wee lass (2012 I think… actually wasn’t so long ago) and much has changed since. For instance: my desk no longer looks like the one as shown above. And if you’re a long time follower then yes, I’ve upgraded again. If you’re a new follower or passer-by then… yes, I’ve upgraded again, haha!

Anyway, this blog is mainly just me posting select pieces of art that I want to share with the WordPress community and me telling some of the stories behind them. So if you want to follow me I urge you hop on board! Or you could also follow me on my other social media (Instagram, TumblrTwitter) which are more focused on promoting my online store tjstoll.tictail.com. Yup, I’ve finally opened a store! It’s what I’ve always wanted to do. And it was all because of the one sale I made in 2012.

Here’s the painting I sold during the summer of 2012.

Haha, just for kicks, check out what it said before I rewrote this about page:

“Hello internet people. It is me, from the real world. I have come to show you my talents and and explain some of the stories behind them. I also like books. So if you see some snippet about books in here well then you’ll know why.

I’ve changed the picture of my art desk. When I said the previous picture was old, I mean now that it is actually archaic! My computer crashed not too long ago so I don’t even know if I have it anymore! Here’s a more updated and less tragic photo of how it is now. Ain’t she perrty!

I also sell some of my work from here too! I take much pride in my art and it would be an honour for me to have it displayed in your homes. Not only am I a proud captor and creator of art but also aspire to own my own gallery where I display and bring affordable art to people’s homes. What better way to start than by selling and showcasing here! This also poses as an opportunity for me to collect funds to pay my way through university so that I can become this great gallery owner I see.”

      1. Art, like language or music, is a tool of expression for mankind. It is the mind with its marvelous, and perhaps terrible, consciousness that makes art, language, and music the beautiful things that they are.

  1. Thanks for stopping by and liking my submissions! Seeing your art makes me want to do more myself. CHeers!

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog! You seem to have a whole lot of styles going on here–when you say you like art you are definitely all-inclusive! Nice to find someone who enjoys it so much.

    1. Thank you so much my friend! I like to try out different styles, you know, just to capture the entirety of art in all its placements. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Posting!
Oh yeah and you’re welcome for stopping by!

    1. You’re welcome! And practice is always key. Kind of like learning a new language. It takes time and practice.

  3. Ha the picture describes an artist perfectly, “whats disorganization to a normal person, is our organization”
You have a bright outlook of life I like your page. Did you check out the art in our page?

    1. Thank you! I’ve cleaned it up a bit but it’s slowly going right back to this. Yes, I have checked out some of the work on your page and it is honestly so good! Thanks for dropping by! I’ll be dropping by too!

      1. My pleasure, just leave it messy! its part of being an artist! 😛 Thank you I’m really happy that you like it. If you have something that you think is innovative then send me a comment and you can probably get featured in our Artist mention Mondays, same goes to your friends if you think they might be interested:)

      2. At the rate my desk is going it might just have to stay messy. And I’ll definitely consider it! Thanks!

      1. I just saw your post about going to the out door show. I was there too, lots good stuff to see, but the weather was brutal.

      2. Oh that’s great! And I know. I was holding a wood panel covered in plastic and I could have sworn it was melting in my hands. Great show though. I guess your from Toronto too?

  5. I had a good laugh on this one! Reminds me EXACTLY of my drawing desk at times. Also, thank you for stopping by my blog and and “liking” one of my drawings!

  6. Stneisha, I like you work and your comments about it. Are you a student? The reason I ask is that you said you were at summer camp in one of your posts, and I think you said something about studying? do you live in the North somewhere–or Canada? I live in Asheville, N.C. AND–yes, messy desks are very good! Hope yours is big enough to spread out all your paints, etc.

    1. You are correct! I am a senior year high school student from southern Canada! I wish I were from upper Canada, though. Great detective work, hey! How’s it there in North Carolina? I’ve never been there before.
And thank you for liking my work. I try really hard to fit it into my busy schedule and it’s always great when kind people have a fancy for it. Anyway, keep that desk messy and I’ll see you later, friend!
P.S: I can hardly even fit my brushes on my desk let alone all my paintings. 🙂

  7. Thanks for taking time and visiting my Journey… I am sorry but I have bigger mess on my desk then you but that is not to be proud off. The most important is that we all have fun when we know how to find everything when we need too… in most cases true….

    1. You should see my desk now! There’s paint and canvasses everywhere! The good thing is, though, is that I still know where everything is because it has a designated messy area. I find that my cluttered desk is art on its own. Anyway, you’re welcome for stopping by, I always appreciate wonderful art. Thank you for stopping by too! See you around and happy posting 🙂
